Los premios MTV Movie Awards 2012 tuvo lugar el domingo y "The Hunger Games" terminó siendo la gran ganadora con cuatro premios, pero fue "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1", que se llevó a casa el premio a la película del año.
La única otra categoría que "Breaking Dawn" ganó fue el Mejor Beso por una escena entre Robert Pattinson y Kristen Stewart. Mientras tanto, "Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte: Parte 2" también ganó dos premios al Mejor Héroe (Harry Potter) y Mejor Reparto, algo que el elenco de la película no ha sido capaz de ganar desde el inicio de la franquicia hace once años.
